About me
Hello, I’m Bryony. Welcome to Forest of Neptune, a home for embodied movement practices that will support your journey within as you navigate your path through life.
This started for me many years ago when I noticed that Somatic movement practice was key to allowing my body to move freely in self-expression. With a background in dance, I had always loved to move but this time it felt different, it felt like I was journeying within myself to help language my experiences of being human, not just present day but something older, wiser and mysterious was under the surface. After my experience with Somatic movement during my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Contemporary Dance, I decided to further my studies and complete a Masters Degree in Dance and Somatic Well-being: Connections to the living body (ISMETA accredited) at the University of Central Lancashire in the U.K graduating in 2019.
Next came Yin yoga. The bodily sensations, emotions and memories that surface when deep fascia is released gave a hint of the same story. The line of enquiry at this point meant there was no turning back on my path and through continued yoga trainings in both my home country of Portugal and in India (560 hours certified YTT) I have been able to develop an offering through facilitating embodied movement in various energetic modalities.
Reiki was always something I had intended to learn and incorporate to my offering and to combine this ancient art with movement is something I am so happy to be able to practice and share with you.
I am a certified Level 1 practitioner and can also offer traditional reiki sessions.
Forest of Neptune supports conscious embodiment through movement and any of these practices can bring about a new awareness or connection to your authentic self.
Maybe you’re looking for a way to let your body speak through movement, maybe you love being in a meditation , or maybe its just to be able to take the space and time for a good practice.
However this lands, I am here and happy to be part of this movement journey with you.
Ps. If you’re curious about the name - Neptune is a planet dear to my heart, from an embodied astrology perspective it represents the interconnectedness of life, how we feel and process our realities, often blurring the boundaries of tangible experience. A forest is made up of a collection of trees, and each of these trees can be seen as a different movement modality, creating a pathway between the subconscious mind and the conscious body.

Reviews and testimonials
“I had such a beautiful experience in Bryony‘s yin class. I’m visiting Lisbon and desperately needed a yoga class. I scheduled a drop in and ended up being the only student in the class which was such a treat. Bryony has a beautiful, welcoming presence and the studio itself is small and cozy and peaceful”.

“Bryony’s teaching style is an intelligent and thoughtful expression of her years of dedicated study of the mind/body connection. She approaches both her vinyasa and yin teaching as not only a service but as part of her own growth and healing; offering classes that are inclusive, insightful, and grounded”.
